// ESPORTS SPONSOR ACTIVATIONS

Your pros can’t play a banner. They can play a game.

You have the audience, you have the roster, and you have sponsors asking for activations. The problem is that your audience watches: hours of streams, and every branded segment is the moment people get up for water. A game is the activation a roster can do instead of show — the pros play it on camera, the fans try to beat them, and the sponsor sits inside the match instead of in front of it. The industry calls it an advergame. To the audience it’s the episode where they get to beat the pros.

Free, no-obligation estimate — takes about 2 minutes.

From the roster to the game

You bring the team, the sponsor and the organisation’s world; we build an arcade game made to be played on camera: short rounds, a clear score, an instant rematch.

The mechanics follow what your roster is famous for. For a Counter-Strike team, that was three trainers behind one screen — reaction, aim and shooting — and the team titled the video “WHICH MAJOR CHAMPION HAS THE FASTEST REACTIONS?”: not an ad, a contest between their own players. For the organisation’s history, ten years of it in a single run.

Most of them run in the browser, phones included, nothing to install, and they live on your domain. Sometimes the game belongs inside the title your fans already play: the ZywOo challenge runs on sixty CS2 servers — twenty each across Europe, Asia and America, with a spectator queue for when they fill up — and what runs on them is twenty-five of his real moments, grouped by map. That mod is not ours — what we built is the page around it, the one that hands each fan their own join link and walks them into the server. Either way the leaderboard sits on top: the pros’ scores become the challenge, and every fan who beats one is a story that tells itself.

What actually happened

4 years, 5 projects

Team Vitality — and we’re still working together. An organisation at that level coming back five times has already written the review.

Sting Like a Bee, with EVNIA. The professional Counter-Strike roster playing the minigame on the team’s own channel, under a title that is a question about the players, not the sponsor.

“An amazing way to do a sponsor”

A viewer, under that video. In full: “This is an amazing way to do a sponsor, really creative.” An audience approving a sponsorship out loud is the rarest thing there is, and it cannot be bought.

And there’s the thing no campaign gets you: the team telling its fans they’ve been beaten. From Team Vitality’s official account: “Our players can’t catch up with some of you guys 👀 Check out the top 10 ranking on the Sting like a Bee game.” And: “There has never been a better time to do some aim training. Try your reaction time against our players!” That is an audience that has stopped watching and started competing.

On Vit.X – Cross the Ages, ten years of the organisation’s own history, 618 people entered the contest — each one finished a run and registered a score. The figure sums the campaign’s two leaderboard sessions, and total plays were far higher: that’s the floor, not the ceiling. And Veni Vidi Vitality had fans competing across four sports: obstacle course, long jump, swimming, archery.

What we need from you

Not much: the team’s visual identity, the sponsor’s brief, and one person who can say yes. We don’t ask your players for a day on set — a game gets recorded by playing it, which is the job they already know. Design, development, testing and going live are our work, and so is the kit that announces it: the cartridge, the key visual, the posts and the video. Included every time, because an activation nobody hears about is one nobody plays. Think weeks, not days: the right moment to call is when the activation lands on the calendar, not the week before.

Frequently asked questions

Does the roster have to be on camera?

No — the game stands on its own, with the leaderboard and the contest. But it’s when the pros play it on camera that the activation becomes content, and Team Vitality’s video is the format at its best. If the roster has some time, spend it there.

How long does it take?

Weeks, not days. If the activation has to ship in under two weeks, the honest answer is no — better to tie it to the next window on the calendar: a tournament, a sponsor release.

Where does it run?

In the browser, phones included, nothing to install. And it lives on your domain: the audience stays at your place, and there’s nothing to download between a fan and the leaderboard.

Where does the sponsor sit?

Inside the game, not in front of it. It isn’t a pre-roll to skip: the brand lives in the world and the mechanics, and the content is the contest. The model is the team’s own video, with a title that is a question about the players, not the sponsor.

Who owns the player data?

You do. The game runs on your domain and contest entries belong to the campaign owner; we’re the technical supplier. All of it GDPR-compliant.
